Feeling is an energy?

A couple of days ago, I told my sister and Farah about my theory of ‘Energy’. Perhaps, the topic ‘Energy’ isn’t news to you but it was to me until that very day. As we all know, energy never dies. It will not disappear just like that; instead, it transforms its forms. Due to this information, I’ve been pondering for some time about it-about its existence. To help you visualise the situation, imagine that there is a cup of sugared and milked coffee in front of you. The coffee, though it is not moving, has its energy named POTENTIAL ENERGY. Now, you extend your hand, clutch the cup’s ear-like handle and begin to take a sip of it. The moving liquid flowing  in your esophagus to your stomach is now changing its energy form to KINETIC ENERGY. When it has reached your stomach, the coffee changes its energy forms again to CHEMICAL ENERGY and finally, metabolised in your body.

So, the above is a clear sample of energy transformations. My theory is that, the chemical energy that we have from the coffee is then transformed into actions, thought and feelings. Thinking requires energy from carbohydrates, so my first theory is I think, feeling requires it too. (I haven’t done thorough research on any of my theories yet but if it has been proven in researches, that’s great! And please leave a comment to inform me about it. )

The next thought that I have about energy is pertaining to SOUND ENERGY. Yes, sound is so abstract and yet it has energy. After hearing sounds or listening to music, where does the energy go? Remember, energy can never disappear so it can’t be gone, can it? That is my question. Why do certain music resonate with one’s heart strings while certain others do not? Again, ‘feelings’ walk into the picture. I could remember that a friend of mine, Ruqayyah once told me about what her father thought of a question similar to mine. Her question was “Why do people from different era listen to different types of music?” Quoting her father’s words in my own understanding, “Music has its wavelength, so do human beings.” In classical music, people at that time probably have certain wavelength that resonate with the music composed by great composers like Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin. Even in classical music, there already exists a few eras with their own distinguish forms. In 1990s to 2000s, people listen to pop music by boybands like Nsync or the pop princess Britney Spears. Next is followed by the Emo music by Avril Lavigne, TATU and a few more others. Now, I don’t really follow the current music anymore. I bet you know better!

In conjunction to the paragraph above, my next theory is that SOUND ENERGY has transformed itself to feelings but it hasn’t been named yet by any researcher or scientist. Feelings can be both, positive and negative. So do Actions and Thoughts.

The final theory is, negative energy that is produced by negative thinking, feelings and actions, if not channelled properly, can lead to the formation of tumour or cancer. Because the body is so negatively charged, the body itself has to experience its consequences of not being able to get rid of the unwanted energy. Most people would dispel the negative energy through any kinds of activities like jogging, painting, brisk walking, writing, reciting Quran etc. Yes, notice that? People would try as much as they can to get rid of the energy. Even negative energy can turn into something wonderful, can’t it? Nevertheless, as thinking creatures, it is us to decide how we want to get rid of the negative energy.

I don’t know, perhaps, this post is a load of rubbish. Perhaps, it isn’t all. Perhaps, it has a bit of substance into it. Anyway, there’s one thing for sure, I’m not the only weirdo in the family. My father is too..hehe.. The day after I told Farah and my sister about this, my father came up to me and asked me a question. He recently read an article that our brain operates using 20 Watts of energy. Human beings are declared as deceased when the 20 Watts is cut off (by God, of course). His question was, if energy cannot disappear, where has the 20 Watts gone? The energy has to change its forms no matter what? Still, no accurate answer has been found at this moment but we are still looking for reasonable ones.

I don’t know. Maybe, to experience death, we have used all the 20 watts because death is painful. Again, painful is a feeling of discomfort. But who told us to die, it will always be Allah. Definitely, these are Allah’s deeds no matter how deep we delved into this subject because He is the Almighty.

  1. Oh tu. Energy bole jadi plural kalo tgh discuss byk type. Contoh, as in 1 paragraph tu cite pasal wind energy, hydroelectric energy, solar energy, these ENERGIES are renewable energy sources. Tapi kalau tgh cite pasal solar energy, the noun jd uncountable kalau nak quantify dgn taruk determiner. So kena pakai much, less dan yg sewaktu dgnnya. Tanya ruqayyah utk kepastian. Hehe.
